Our short-term goals are to:

1. Provide a central clearing house for legitimate charity affiliate IDs
2. Set up a link-shortener (a la bit.ly) at our domain http://4char.it/y that makes it easy to build recognizable, shortened charity affiliate links
3. Make it easy for blog and website owners to use affiliate links on their sites to generate donations for charities
4. Make it easy for web surfers to donate to charities any affiliate commissions paid for their online purchases
5. Make it easy for companies with affiliate programs to add a charity component to those programs

Our medium-term goals are to:

1. Establish a non profit organization in the USA to manage the website, software and administrative affairs behind AffiliatesForCharity
2. Set up a system that can be used (optionally) by various program participants to provide detailed reports:
   1. Charities: Dollar total of AffiliatesForCharity donations, per charity
   2. Blog or Website Owners: Dollar total of AffiliatesForCharity donations generated from each website, per charity
   3. Web Surfers: Dollar total of AffiliatesForCharity donations generated by each surfer, per charity
   4. Companies with Affiliate Programs: Dollar total of AffiliatesForCharity donations made through their program(s), per charity

Our long-term goal is to:

1. Build a major source of donations to legitimate charities

AffiliatesForCharity.org:

1. Does not seek to make a profit from any of its efforts, and is committed to keeping operating costs as close to $0 as possible
   1. Is seeking generous volunteers who are willing to sacrifice their time, expertise and services to help set up and run the site and its software
2. Is committed to total transparency in all financial affairs
