How It Works

The AffiliatesForCharity program makes it easy for a charity to generate donations from its affiliate IDs. The program makes it easy for Website Owners and Bloggers to generate donations to their favorite charities. The program makes it easy for web surfers to make sure that affiliate commissions on their online purchases go to their favorite charities – all at no cost to anyone involved!

We’ve included a quick scenario of the process below. To see more details, please visit the ‘How It Works’ pages for each type of program participant: Charity Organizations, Website Owners & Bloggers, Volunteers & Donors, Charity Fundraising Partners, Affiliate Programs / Networks, Web Surfers (pages coming soon).

How It Works – A Quick Sample Scenario

Susan, an authorized representative of ACME Charity (a legitimate charity organization), nominates the organization for participation in the AffiliatesForCharity program. AffiliatesForCharity verifies that ACME Charity is legitimate and collects a list of affiliate IDs belonging to them. Affiliates for charity then makes this list of IDs public.

John, a blog-owner interested in generating donations for ACME Charity, visits the AffiliatesForCharity website. John uses ACME Charity’s affiliate ID for Amazon.com to create an affiliate link on his blog to a book for sale at Amazon.com.

Mary, a web surfer, visits John’s blog and follows the Amazon.com affiliate link mentioned above. Mary buys the book from Amazon.com that John recommended on his blog.

Amazon.com pays ACME Charity a commission on Mary’s purchase.
